Lucy

Ok, I'll admit it, I don't get much done when I am watching Lucy. She is a really good baby and is so much fun, it's hard to put her down. She smiles alot and likes to talk. Yesterday she was laughing at the girls. She is 3 months old.

Date Night

Because of Scott's crazy work schedule and the fair going on we haven't been able to go on a real date for awhile. We weren't that busy at the booth and we were both hungry so I told Scott to make a frybread and meet me at the back table for a date. My favorite frybread is a chili meat with a sprinkle of cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. YUM!

Arizona State Fair 2008

Posted by PicasaIt's that time of year again - Fair time! Our family has a booth at the fair - San Tan Frybread. We have been doing it since 1992 - so for 16 years. The fair goes from Oct. 10th - Nov. 2nd this year. We put in a lot of hours over there, so if you see us looking sleepy or a little stressed, that's why. We sell lots of frybread, pop & water. You can get a frybread with any combination of the following: chili (we make our own - shredded beef with red sauce), beans (we make our own), cheese, lettuce & tomatoes. Or you can get it with honey, powdered sugar, & cinnamon sugar - it's like a dessert. I love the frybread!

irrigation fun

Nellie & Sydney having fun in the irrigation water. Nellie loves to wear her Dora swimsuit, actually any swimsuit. She will be dressed and come home from Aunt Bonnie's wearing one of Laci's swimsuits. I will have to hide them now that Bonnie's pool is too cold to swim in.

Aunt Nellie & Lucy

I took this picture this morning before Nellie was dressed and had just taken Lucy's pajamas off. It was chilly this morning (it's exciting to finally be able say it was chilly) so Tyson left Lucy in here warm pj's when he brought her over. I love to hold babies wearing just a diaper. Lucy is a good baby.

We celebrated Tyson's 23rd birthday yesterday. Am I really old enough to have a child that old? Yep!!!Posted by Picasa

My little Escaper

Nellie is my little escape artist! Awhile back I had to have Scott add a second lock to the top of the doors, not to keep bad guys out, but to keep Nellie in. She is an outdoor girl for sure! She heads out the front door first if it's not locked, & if it is & the back door is unlocked she will go climb the fence to get to where she is going. She is usually off to Aunt Bonnie's, Aunt Amy's or Nana & Papas to see the animals. One day, awhile back, she had climbed the taller fence in the backyard to go check out a duck swimming in the irrigation water. She was all the way to the back of the property and didn't mind Buck (our horse) being in there with her. She keeps me busy! Don't know what I would do without her.

PaPa's Puppies

PaPa bought two Australian Shepherd puppies at the Livestock auction about a month ago. Brandi couldn't wait to say "Guess what Papa bought today?" She usually keeps us informed about what animals he sold or bought that day.
I'm not sure who officially named them, PaPa or the Grandkids, but the red puppy is named Red and the spotted puppy is Cookie.
Nellie has been loving these pups, especially Cookie. She loves to carry her around. She can actually say her name so it is cute. The other day Courtney and I were trying to get Nellie to say "Courtney" and she kept saying "Cookie", so she decided that was good enough and now Courtney is Cookie to Nellie. It's kinda cute too. In the picture are Nellie, cousin Leoma, Haley & cousin Laci.

Homecoming 2008

Courtney went to Homecoming on Sept. 26th with Zach Boley. A big group of her friends got together and had dinner together (outside) then headed to the dance for a little while, then they headed to the Graves' home for more fun. They really had alot of fun together.

The next day they went on a post-homecoming date to hike the Superstition Mountains. The first half of the hike they were being blasted by the sun and were hoping that it would rain. In the second half of their hike the rain did come. They were hit by huge raindrops and the thunder echoed through the canyon. After about 45 minutes of rain, it actually started to hail on them! They kept on hiking and found a little dry spot on the top. Even with all of the rain and hail they had a good time. The group only ended up with a sprained ankle (Zach), a twisted ankle (Dylan) and scrapes and bruises for pretty much everyone else.
