Our Spring Garden

Our Spring garden is growing and we can't wait to eat the yummy food. We planted zucchini, squash, different kinds of tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries and corn. And we are growing lots of weeds in it too. They grown faster then the food. We also have grapes growning for the first time this year on our grape vine on the fence. Can't wait to eat them. Our rose trees are in bloom too. They are so pretty. My favorite one is the yellow roses. We have a 4th one with purple roses but the wind blew the petals off that one so I left it out of the picture.

Chickens

Scott built this awesome chicken coop (Martha Stewart style - but don't tell him that). He bought ten pullets (young female chickens) to raise. 2 of them turned out to be roosters (they were so pretty) but we don't want roosters so dad took them and traded for some more pullets. We only have 3 that are laying eggs right now. Every day we get one green egg (in the picture) and two tan eggs. When they are all laying we might have to give some of the eggs away. I love to look out and see the chickens in the pasture. At first they were coming in the back yard and they all came up to the porch and pooped on it. So Scott finished putting up the fence between the back yard and the pasture - and no more chickens in the back yard.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was extra special this year. It was General Conference weekend - and that's always a good weekend. Sean was baptized between the Sunday sessions. We spent the day at Nana & PaPa's with family. The weather was perfect for being outside. The younger kids had a Easter Egg hunt.

Sean's Baptism

Sean got Baptized on Easter Sunday. Elder Schuler & Elder Beckstrom taught him the lessons. Elder Schuler baptized him. Bishop Curt Shumway (my brother) and Scott gave the talks. It was a wonderful baptism.

PaPa's Animals

Papa's little goats like to get on the back of the donkey's and go for a ride. It is so funny to watch. He has quite the variety of animals at his house right now. Nellie loves to go to his house everyday to hold the bunnies.

Greg Olsen

I knew that Greg Olsen (famous LDS artist) was going to be in town at Costcos and Kristen has always wanted to meet him. We went and I bought a beautiful picture of Christ and we got our picture taken with him. It made Kristens' day. He said he might not be at BYU Education week this year - so sad.

Easter Pageant

We went to the pageant with Courtney, Sean, Mary & Patrick Sallaway. I haven't been in a couple of years. I really enjoyed it. The costumes were awesome and it was presented so good. We went on the last day and a friend that was in it said that was the best performance. Sean surprised us with an announcement that he was going to be baptized the next day at 11:30.
