Happy Anniversary to Mom & Dad

Mom & Dad's wedding anniversary was on Easter Sunday - 52 years!  We celebrated by going to Matta's a few nights before because she had her first round of chemo and the nurse told her to go out and celebrate while she felt good.  Mom & Dad love Mattas.

Easter Sunday

Mom was feeling good on Easter so we had Sunday dinner there. We knew she was going to be loosing her hair soon so we all took pictures with her.
We had a Easter egg hunt. I love the look on Lucy's face when she opened the egg and found the candy.
I gave the lesson to the Young Women that day (I am the 2nd counselor over the Beehives) and talked about Christ. I am thankful for him and everything that he did for us and still does.

Mom

Mom had her mastectomy and is doing pretty good. She is tired a lot.   I was pretty shocked to see what if looked like.  Ouch!  Mom goes in tomorrow to get a port put in for her chemotherapy which will be for 18 weeks.  She is also getting her last drainage tube removed which has been bothering her because it has irritated the skin and is super itchy and hurts her.  The cancer was in 3 of her lymph nodes (so stage 3).  Mom has been sick, but is feeling better.  She has a cough that won't go away. Please keep her in your prayers if you are reading this.
