Puppy Time
I took one of Papa's puppies to Nellie's class at school. (The puppy is now Chad & Chantells puppy, Dusty). The kids had a blast playing with it. I love this picture of Nellie & Tanner. It makes me smile whenever I see it. Sweet children.

25th Wedding Anniversary Cruise

click on collage to make pictures bigger.
Scott & I went on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was in April (I was slow to get it blogged). We booked the cruise through the Cruise Lady because John Bytheway was going to be on it. We were lucky to get to hear him speak to us all but one day on the cruise. He is awesome. It was so fun to get to meet his wife Kim. We even got to have dinner with them the very last night of the cruise. We drove to San Deigo on Saturday and went to SeaWorld. We spent the night in a hotel that night and headed to the ship on Sunday. We spent two days going to Cabo San Lucas. We went Whale watching one day which was Super fun. The ship that took us made us virgin Pina Coladas and Strawberry daiquiris, yummy! Mom had told me about the gold pirate that is there so we made sure to get a picture with him. The cowboy was pretty cool too. We bought shirts for all the kids & I got some vanilla. One of our favorite treats was the self serve ice cream machine. On the way home we stopped at the San Diego temple, the Mormon Battalion museum & Sea World again because we missed the Shamu show the first time and we had a pass to get back in for free. We still missed Shamu. We had a great time together. Good news is that I didn't get sea sick. :)
We are wanting to do an Alaska cruise next year with all of my family and some friends. If you would be interested let us know.

Do you like my hat?
Mom was loosing hair like crazy, falling out in clumps. We knew this was going to happen so we were prepared for it. She had Jenny shave her head. She looks cute in her hat. A lady in our ward (Alice Brinkerhoff) gave her the hat and a cute scarf to wear. I have to admit I cried when I watched her hair being shaved off. Mom is in good spirits and is staying so possitive. She has had chemo twice now and has had some really rough days. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Kristen's 18th birthday
Kristen turned 18! We celebrated by having lunch at Liberty Market, dinner at Cafe Rio & we shopped til we dropped. She bought that hat for her bday. She wanted Texas sheetcake. It was funny when she went to blow out the candles- I didn't realize it but two of the candles I put in the cake were the tricky kind that lights back up after you blow it out. It was a fun day. Mother's Day
I always love Mother's Day. The ward wore pink to church because Mom was going to be there for the first time since her surgery. So I had the girls wear something pink to dinner at Mom's. Scott always gets me a coursage to wear to church. Kristen, Scott & I got to talk in church on Mother's Day. I was happy that Mom was there to here us.Saturday, May 7, 2011
Mormon Prom
My two beautiful daughters went to the Mormon Prom. Kristen went with Talon Harper & Sydney went with Cole Stevens. They had so much fun.
It was a crazy day for me with lots of stuff to do. I had to have Kristen's dress hemmed because it was a fancy material & I couldn't do it myself. Kristen's cousin Hannah did her hair and makeup and so I picked her up from her house. I knew we were pushing time so I had Courtney (who was doing Sydney's hair & makeup) go pick up the dress. The boys showed up 15 minutes early so the dress wasn't even there yet. How embarrassing. Note to boys: don't ever show up 15 minutes early on prom night! :)
I am glad our church puts this event on because the kids can go there and not have to worry about anything inappropriate going on.
