Christmas Eve Pajamas

We let the kids open one present for Christmas Eve - New Pajamas. I found these cute mugs and thought it would be fun to have hot chocolate too. So I guess this year they got a bonus gift. :) Courtney read the Nativity story to us & we sprinkled magic reindeer dust so they could find their way to our home.

PaPa's bunnies

Everyone loves to hold PaPa's bunnies (especially Nellie). Cute little things. The girls were begging me to get one of them. We have had one before and let's just say they poop a lot it stinks. It's not fun changing their cage. It is fun to watch them hop around the yard though.

For our annual Cousins Christmas Party we made ornaments, decorated cupcakes, made scarfs, went caroling to neighbors (Ron & Victoria Gindick & Glen & Barbara Huish) & to Bonnie working at Bashas and ate lots of pizza & doughnuts. It's always a super fun time together.

Haley - Teenager

Haley turned 13! We have another teenager in the house. We took Haley to Texas Roadhouse where they have you ride a saddle and sing to you. Her birthday was on a Sunday so we had her go through the spanking line at Nana's.

Milk & Cookies

Love this picture... My youngest and my oldest enjoying some milk & cookies.  I love that Tyson is using the Dora cup, not Nellie.

G. O. Go Mustangs Go!

Dribble it.. Pass it.. We want a basket!

Haley Cheers on Mustangs

Haley tried out for cheer at CTJH (Chandler Traditional Junior High) and made it. She was so nervous. They have been cheering for the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams. I think she is really good. I love going to watch her cheer. The uniforms they wear are hammy downs from Chandler High school cheer. They brought back a lot of memories for Scott & I because we both graduated from that school. They are suppossed to get their own new uniforms soon.

Nellie's 1st lost tooth

Nellie lost her first tooth. She didn't know where she lost it at first so it took awhile to find it. It is sooo tiny. I asked her if she wanted the tooth fairy to bring her a cookie candy (Cookies & Cream candy is her favorite) or money. She thought for a second and said "money to buy a cookie candy". She was excited to find a dollar under the pillow the next morning. I am so glad the tooth fairy remembered.  Nellie kept going to the bathroom mirror to look at the hole where her tooth was.  It was cute.

Halloween Party

Call me CRAZY!  Kristen had a boy (Chad Timothy) ask her to Homecoming.  He didn't want to take her to the actual dance because they get pretty dirty and you pay a small fortune to be there for pictures and a few songs.  So, Chad's mom asked me if I would help her come up with an idea to do instead.  We decided to do a Halloween party since it was on Halloween night.  It ended up being at my house. I say call me Crazy because I agreed to do it during the most crazy/stressful time of my year - during the AZ State Fair.  Ellen (Chad's mom) bought all the food and I came up with some fun games.  One game we did was dress the Mummy.  The girls were all given one roll of toilet paper and tried to make the best mummy out of the boys.  We carved pumpkins and did a few other games.  I thought the party turned out great.

Trunk Or Treat

Our ward did a Trunk or Treat this year. A lot of people came. It was lots of fun. They served Hamburgers & Hot Dogs for dinner. Courtney was a jailbird and Sean was her Sheriff. Kristen was Mrs. Potato Head. Haley was Astrid from How to train your dragon. Nellie was Kai Lan. Sydney was working at the fair.

Pumpkin Carving

I am officially fired from carving pumpkins. haha. I tried to carve Nellie's into a Kia Lan. Didn't work, so it ended up being a big heart. As you can see in the picture she was happy with the heart. Nellie is my Love Bug. It was funny when Nellie started getting the seeds out, she was so excited then about the third time she put her hand in she started gagging. We always enjoy carving pumpkins together. In Arizona you can't carve them too early or they will be moldy & saggy on Halloween.

Temple Lights

Our family went and helped put up Christmas lights at the temple again this year.  It's amazing how many lights they put up.  They are very picky about how they are put up - guess that's why they look so beautiful.

Haley's Cupcakes

Haley make these cute Halloween cupcakes for our Sunday treat. You can find really cute ideas on Better Crocker's website. http://www.bettycrocker.com/
After Haley made them she realized she had more than one choice of cake flavor. She told me she was glad she picked the "chocolate" one because the "Devils Food" wouldn't be so good for the Sabbath. :)

Pizza night

We made homemade pizza tonight and the kids loved it. I used to make it more often and would just make 2 big pizzas. This time I made little ones and the girls fixed up their own piece. I even made a heart one, too bad I over cooked it. They turned out yummy.

Big Storm

We got hit by another big storm in Arizona. We don't get rain very often so when we do, we love it. I love the sound of rain & thunder. This storm split my favorite rose tree in half. I was driving home and saw part of it in the road thinking it was someones tree. I was sad when I saw the yellow roses on it. But look at all the rain we got. Fun!

Happy Birthday Courtney!

Courtney turned 20 this year. We took Courtney & Sean out to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday. Their food is so yummy! I made her some icecream cake for her birthday. I messed up and bought fat free ice cream. Dang it. I didn't even realize I had done it until we started eating them. They are a pain to make too. Next time I will be sure to read the container of ice cream. :)
Courtney realized after moving out that she didn't have any hair bows of her own, so I made her some. I got her a few decorations for her apartment & a few other things. Still can't believe she is married. She is still going to school full time at Chandler/Gilbert community college and has enjoyed her classes this semester. She loves hanging out with her husband, Sean.

Happy Birthday to me. 45!

For my birthday Scott took me out to lunch at Cheesecake Factory.  This was totally my choice.  He thinks it's a girly place.   I love their chicken, potatoes & asparagus meal.
Sean wanted to take us all out to dinner for my birthday - I don't think he knew what he was getting himself into.  :)  We went to El Palacio's.  Scott was working.

In middle picture:  Me, Sean, Haley, Courtney, Sydney, Tyson, Lucy, Brandi, Christina (Tyson's girfriend), Kristen & Nellie.  What a bunch of great kids!  I love them all.
