Girl's Camp 2009

This years girl's camp was one of the best. I had a great time. Scott got to come and spend the week up there too. I love being with the stake leaders, we are so spoiled and have a lot of fun. It's always fun to be with my daughters up there. Our ward is usually far away from the stake tent but this year someone got up there earlier then them and took their spot. They ended up being right by the stake tent which I loved. My sister Bonnie was the camp director.

More Girl's Camp 2009

Posted by PicasaI get cold really easy. Scott spoiled me this year and ordered me an electric blanket that plugs into a cigarette lighter in a car for me to use at girls camp. He rigged it up so that I could hook it up to a car battery at night and be warm. It worked great!!! I was in charge of the Humanitarian again this year. We made journals for the soldiers. They wrote a thank you note on the front page then decorated a front cover to be a flag. We also did candy bags that they decorated and blankets that they cut and tied for an orphanage in Mexico. Scott was up there this year for the whole week. He taught the girls about horses. The horse he brought up can't be separated from his friend the mule so the mule came up too - he has a cart that the girls had fun getting rides on. The girls had fun at the late night dance party and always have fun singing the silly camp songs. Already looking forward to next year.

Now That's Some Salsa!

My mom, sisters & sister in-laws got together and canned 202 pints of salsa. We did some green and some red. We left some chuncky & blended some up. We cried for about an hour as we chopped 50 cups of onions. It is VERY yummy. Got chips? We got salsa.

Summer Garden

We are getting lots of yummy veggies from our garden now. Zucchini, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, and even a few strawberries. The girls did a great job planting it.
