Lucy's 3rd Birthday

 





                                                                                                                                        Where does the time go? Our granddaughter Lucy turned 3 on July 15th. She is getting so big.  It was fun to see her get excited about her presents. Her big present was the bike her Daddy got her. Haley made her cake. Lucy is such a smart little girl with a cute personalilty. I am lucky to be her Nana.

Summer Movie Fun

One of my favorite things to do is go see a good movie.  I LOVE to have Popcorn & a diet Coke (although I prefer diet Pepsi).  We bought the Harkin's Summer Movie Fun passes this year - so we get to see 10 movies for $7.  We go on Thursday mornings.  They are all old movies that most of them we have already seen, but it is still fun to do.  We go with my sister Bonnie & her kids.

Arizona Haboob

This was a storm that hit Chandler, AZ.  It was called a Haboob and looked like a scene from a movie.  I was on my way to the grocery store with the kids when we saw it.  This picture was taken on Riggs & Gilbert Rd just a few miles from our home.  I had to steal it from Facebook because I didn't have my camara with me.  I looked up some info on it and this is what I found:

4th of July

We had just returned from camping and headed to Page's for a 4th of July celebration. There is always a dust storm coming in that night. George made some awesome Ribs & BBQ. We had fun swimming & setting off fireworks. So thankful to live in America.

Camping in Long Valley

I had so much fun taking pictures so I added a lot and they are small - click on the collage a couple of times and it will bring them up big to view.

Since the 4th of July was on a Monday we decided to take another camping trip - this time to Long Valley. We missed having Tyson, Lucy & Kristen with us. The weather was great! We got a few showers & even some hail for a few minutes. I loved taking pictures of the kids and being in the outdoors with them. We had lots of chipmunks & squirrels around. Nellie loved going on hunts to find them. We played lots of 10,000 (a dice game) Apples to Apples, Go Fish (Nellie won me like 5 times) & outdoor games. We took a hike to find our girl's camp hike bricks.  We had fun cooking but had a hard time getting into the cans the first night when we realized we didn't have the can opener in the trailer. It was hard to leave the cool weather & fun times.  I love our trailer so much.
