Brandi

with Lucy at the hospital

Brandi turned 21 on August 18th. She goes to Basha High. She is in the special Ed program and and loves school. Because of Brandi's disabilities she was able to stay in school a few extra years. This is her final Senior year and she will graduate with Courtney this year, probably seconds before her. She works in the cafeteria at school now. 20 minutes each day, off on Thursdays. She puts the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies on trays, 4 down, 3 across, 6 trays full. She clocks in, puts on a hair net, washes her hands for 20 seconds (in her words..like you sing happy birthday to yourself, and your done). If you touch your hair net you have to rewash your hands. Dang! She is loving it. She enjoys having something to do.
Brandi loves to check email, work in the nursery at church, ride her bike, ride horses, get water bottles for everyone on Sunday at our big Shumway dinners, and LOVES brownies. She loves to help deliver bread with Aunt Bonnie that she (Bonnie) makes to help with Chad's mission funds (he is serving in Brazil). She loves to go the the Livestock auction with Papa on Saturdays and loves to visit with Nana. When there is an event coming up in her life, you are guaranteed to hear about it at least a hundred times before it happens. :) She is a good girl.
